Kinda looks like a flaming marshmallow on the end of a stick, dunnit? Industrial designer Rob Englert is a co-founder of the Adirondack FireStone Company, and they make this cool, rustic-looking kit for getting fires going. Called the FireLighter, it consists of a stoneware pot, two bottles of candle/lamp oil and a handle connected to the company's namesake, the FireStone.
The FireStone's porous, so you use it to soak up some oil, then fire it up and stick it under your firewood and you're good to go. Stays lit for up to 20 minutes so you can skip the kindling step altogether.
"The product is entirely made in the USA," says Englert, "and is hands down the best way to light a fire."
