Seattle's Peter Bristol has already established himself as the Lead Product Designer at Carbon Design Group but he's found time to design and prototype a couple projects on the side: the "LED Shade Lamp" and the "Cut Chair."
The LED lamp references science fiction while maintaining a contemporary, understated aesthetic with a form that relies heavily on negative space.
In "Cut Chair," on the other hand, the negative space violates one's intuitive grasp of physics for an uncanny visual effect. The one-legged chair is built into a patch of rug that conceals its cantilever base. The result is rather mind-boggling, and I, for one, invite Peter to create a product video or—if he finds a manufacturing partner—a making-of short.
Bonus: "Corner Light" by Bristol for Established & Sons

Sure you could do that, but why? It is like a bad pun.
I think you have better ideas in you from the other work shown.
