Microsoft Surface interactive multi-touch coffee table

If you haven't heard yet, Microsoft has just busted out with Surface, a new multi-touch surface computing product that really raises the bar in human-computer interaction. The Surface computer uses infrared sensors to identify real objects placed on the glass and give users tactile, truly interactive control of content such as photos, music, and maps--all while chillin' on the couch with a brewski. For now, Microsoft is gearing the product toward hotels, retail establishments, restaurants and public entertainment venues and plans to release it commercially by the end of the year. This definitely isn't the first we've heard of multi-touch tech, but Microsoft is doing a great job of getting people hootin' and hollerin' about Surface all over the internets and even on the Today Show where BIlly Gates shows off his new furniture in person. via tech crunch
