So the question is, if you had the most expensive house in the world, would you advertise it?
Maybe not, which is why it's hard to say what house properly holds that title. But if you're curious to see what one of the contenders looks like, check out Updown Court, the British estate of the Crown Prince of Dubai, who apparently has a little cash to spend. The house has got 3.5 acres...of marble, for chrissakes.
Unlike other "most expensive houses in the world," this one actually has a video tour of the interior and a narrated explanation of the amenities; and while the house is a couple years old, well, it's the only look many of us will get at how the other 0.00001% lives.

have been seeing this property for around 3 years now..seemed no one was interested at 140 million dollars and i suppose i saw some where the price has even increased from there.. i don't suspect it selling any time soon . by the way if anyone has the latest price do mail me ..
thnx
to be honest, nothing about this house is appealing to me. the design overall is seriously boring. there wasn't any elements that stood out to make this place unique from others.
bigger, tall, more marble, sure. that's all its got.
it's a marble-clad casket, stay inside 24/7 with nothing to do, bowl, swim, etc.
if only the rich had character and taste, we could see some true marvels.
Wow, I like how it stayed true to the country living style, avoiding the Nuevo riche look. After watching the video I think I want my own valet (not the guy who parks your car).
