YouTuber and Metacafe maven Razor G has posted a video on how to make a DIY metal detector, using an AM radio, tape, and a calculator; combining these devices will produce a radio frequency signal that will bounce off of metal, causing the radio to produce a tone. Of course, in this day and age, finding buried treasure won't be nearly as hard as finding an AM radio!

For those that have tried this or are thinking of giving it a go.
It will not work what you are hearing is the em field of the calculator however the noise produced when the array is introduced to a metal object is simply him pressing a button on the calc.., He could have called it a hamburger detector and done the same thing with a cheese burger.
Very funny .., Bound to get some people trying it ..lol
