Remember a few months ago, when someone wrote an article ridiculously suggesting the new iPhone had hit the limits of industrial design, and could be designed no further? I disagreed wholeheartedly and argued that a statement like that shows a real lack of imagination; just because you can't envision a further creative step doesn't mean that others cannot.
Here's a perfect example of my argument: You could argue that the clock, which has been around for centuries, has largely been perfected. Yet we continue to see all manner of innovative clock designs. The latest that made me grin is the Front & Back clock shown here, which cleverly integrates the AA batteries used to power it, rather than hiding them away; they become the hands themselves.
