"It didn't take me very long to know that I'm not cut [out] to work for other people, especially not after lunch," says Ron Arad, of an early job he took in London. "So one lunchtime I didn't come back."

Crane.tv's studio visit with Ron Arad is pretty great, featuring three-minutes-plus of the designer discussing tidbits of his philosophies and personal history, unreeled in a relaxed, benign sort of I-don't-give-a-damn way that is particular to talented eccentrics. What I wouldn't give to sit next to this man on a plane....
