Good gosh. Where most people see bookcases as a handy place to store tomes, the anonymous gentleman behind Q-Line Design sees prime hidden storage space for assault rifles, handguns, knives and ammunition. Check out their SafeGuard Shelving System:

Although the craftsmen behind the two designs above are both dudes, secret compartments is not exclusively male design territory. Ohio-based Jill Herro runs Secret Compartment Furniture (tagline: "Can You Find the Glock?"), which produces pieces of her own design, although local Amish gents do the construction:

The paradox of furniture containing secret compartments, of course, is that as particular units gain in popularity, the secrecy declines. "What you choose to store in your Q-line Safeguard cabinet is up to you... only you will know the secret," says the company. But with its YouTube hit counts steadily crawling past the half-a-million mark, they may have to revise that statement.
