Here's a rather interesting piece of highly specific transforming furniture: The Human Hoist, which is designed to go from rolling chair to floor-level mechanic's creeper. Your average consumer will have no use for it, but for a grease monkey with no hydraulic lift, it provides a quick way to get from under the car to the toolchest and back again. Check it out (and lower your speakers if you're at work, annoying soundtrack ahead):
There's no word on what the thing would cost, as it's currently just a prototype. Whoever's behind the product has announced they're "actively looking for potential investment and/or [a] manufacturer to produce The Human Hoist," but their website has absolutely no useful information.

Mobile mechanics e way you have represented your thoughts in the blog is really appreciable. I like your selection of words because you have made it so simple and easy for everyone to understand more about topic. Thank you and keep writing such blogs.
this is great, I have a friend that is disabled (in a wheelchair) and this would allow him to more easily work on his car.
I would love more info on this. I have a brother in law who is a mechanic but is disabled due to a hunting accident.
thanks
hi i want to know whats the price
Looks like it's great for the one with back problems. How long do the casters last on the shop floor?
There's a guy in Oregon who is building a similar item(same concept) transforming chair to creeper and back in under a minute. This guy doesn't have to wait for investors, he designed his on a different plane and didn't need the overhead. He did this for a "Challenged"fMily member then decided he loved working with things like this! I hear he's also working on a chair for kitchen workers and still yet other items to assist the disabled! He's on the central coast and will have them to you around a week after you pay! $1250!
How do I Contact this guy in Oregon?
Heya John, thanks for the heads up, any more info about his guy in Oregon?
