It must have been a curious sight to those not aware of The Wrong Store, curated by Tobi Wong and Gregory Krum. "Is the store ever gonna open?" "I thought this thing started at 6!" The pop-up store never really opened, but the merch (stuff by Marcel Wanders, Dieter Rams, Hella Jongerius, Kaws, Sol LeWitt, and many others) definitely was for sale--as long as the purchase was made as a whole, that is--yes, the entire contents of the store. Cha-ching! (They were even equipped with a Visa and MasterCard sticker in the window--go fig.)
Hors d'oeuvres were served in the form of gold-filtered Nat Sherman cancer sticks and mini-shots of gin and vodka out of pocketed pump bottles. Nobody was busted for an "open container" and it was a jolly good wrong time.
More on this after the jump...
..but...wait..huh? The store remained closed during the entire event.
Thanks to the transparent properties of glass, you could see what was on "sale."
Mmm...nothin' like shots from a booze pump!
