Last year, Soren Ulrik Petersen was our clear favorite at the Danish Crafts booth with the Stick in a Box wonder-cooking utensil. It made an appearance again this year, but with a few new accompaniments worthy of a mention. Danish goldsmith Kim Buck took the idea of a mylar balloon and turned it into something fun and functional with Holloware (left), an inflatable bowl made from metallic plastic foil. Danish designer Povl Kjaer's Rockingsheep (right) is far more special than your average rocking horse--Kjaer keeps it close to his roots with handcrafted woodwork and real sheepskin upholstery. (He gave the first one to his niece "as a humorous reminder of her parents' rural origins.")
