Like many tradeshows and exhibitions that feature a broad variety of exhibitors, InteriorLifestyle Tokyo dedicated a bit of floorspace to young and emerging designers. Masaharu Asano was a standout in the "Talents" section of the show, presenting his eN product line during last week's event.

The "Japan Tone" collection includes to two variations of vases in a combination of oak and glass. The colors refer to traditional Japanese culture: blue for the ocean, white for snow, silver for metal (specifically the blade of a katana) and red and black for lacquerware.

The "Suspended Flower" series is precisely that, where the flowers float in a mobile-like arrangement of hanging test tubes.

The tabletop vases resemble candleholders or stacks of two hourglasses—in fact, each block (spools, yo-yos and bicycle hubs also come to mind) is interchangeable, such that they can be paired in a variety of color combos.

The floor lamp is literally an extension of the same concept: the interchangeable parts can be ordered and reordered along the powdercoated steel 'spine' to create a semi-customizable column.

Lastly, the pulley of the "Hanger Light" has a resistance mechanism for optimal height adjustment.
