Herman Miller POV Series, Part 3: LeanArch on Indoor/Outdoor

Manhattan and Manhattan Beach are two places that couldn't be more different, but one problem encountered by architects in both areas is how to provide privacy while still allowing natural light. This was an issue faced by architecture LeanArch in the design of the Kuhlhaus 02 residence in the latter location, which is sited directly across from an elementary school.

In this Part 3 video of Herman Miller's POV series, LeanArch founder James Meyer explains how they managed to provide an indoor/outdoor feel to this two-story structure with an Eames-House-inspired floorplan and other design tricks.
