Berlin-ers rejoice! One of our favorite design and architecture publishers has setup shop in Berlin-Mitte. The Gestalten Space, a 350 square-meter gallery and shop sounds like it'll be a destination venue for local art lovers and tourists alike. The shop will feature Gestalten's phenomenal range of book titles—new and archived (including the recently Core-reviewed title Staging Space)— as well as toys and products by the designers and artists whose work they've published, bringing the pages of their design books to life.
Cutters Edges, the opening exhibition at the Gestalten Space, is a true celebration of "a new heyday" in contemporary collage. The show brings together over 50 international artists showcasing more than 160 works including pieces from Paul Burgess, Katherine Streeter, Sergej Sviatchenko, April Gertler, Hisham Akira Bharoocha and Stephen BRandes. Cutters Edges is assembled by American artist and curator James Gallagher.
The Gestalten Space opens their doors to the public next Friday, April 29th!
